Mindful adventuring was born from the desire to venture into nature to better focus the mind and soul. Connecting with nature brings us closer to who we once were and allows modern distractions to fall away. Once you’ve removed yourself from the pressures of daily life, you can truly begin to experience your inner self.
Given that we cannot ignore all of life’s responsibilities, we hope to give you the tools to better handle their burden. Exercise is proven to enhance mood, reduce stress and boost energy, among many other benefits. Mindfulness, similarly, reduces stress and improves cognitive functioning. Hiking and yoga not only provide the benefits of exercise but allow us to retreat farther from the disruption of all that is going on in the world today, physically and mentally.
By combining hiking and yoga, we aim to provide a brief escape from the commotion of everyday life while calming your mind and energizing your body. During our retreats we will guide you through breath-taking desert landscapes and lead you in yoga and meditation practices. We hope that you’ll join us and take all that you learn home to repeat as needed for a happier and healthier lifestyle.
Markleigh is a dreamer with a passion for adventure. In addition to hiking, she has extensive experience whitewater rafting, backpacking, and camping.
Bridgette is a Registered Yoga Teacher with a passion for health & fitness. She has been practicing yoga for 10+ years. She co-founded a CBD business in Tucson.
